Wisteria at La Cressonnière

It's been a month now since these photos were taken, but the wisteria (la glycine) at La Cressonnière was absolutely magnificent.

Jane, my little gardener, was so inspired she set to work on a potted garden.

She found the metal stand and all the pots out in the barn and managed to haul them all out herself (!?!) ...

We bought seeds at the market and she chose carrots, radishes, lettuce, and nasturtiums.

It was incredibly lovely to grab a moment of sun with a cup of tea under this arbor. I am sure it was a labor of love to plan and plant and nurture these vines to get them to the state of glory they are now in.

But isn't that how all good things go? It takes time and effort ...

  2. What spectacular images! Your little gardener is so sweet. Your home is like a dream, literally. To be living in France is a dream for me.I look forward to following you on this fabulous journey .
I recently lived in a 4 level tudor, set in between two ponds, and was surrounded by specimen trees and flowers, and ducks in the pond, where a fountain gushed., only 30 miles from NYC..That was nice, too...
But this takes the cake. A wonderland.!
