Well, we tried to take a family picture and this is the best we could do ...

Unless we magically manage a better group photo this weekend, this is what's going in the Christmas cards. Out of 50 shots, this is the best we could do. An ape boy, a mildly amused mother, a cute tot, a father who thinks he's Tommy Lee Jones in some cinematic thriller, and an overly perturbed girl-child who won't look at the camera.

Just keepin' it real, girls. Keepin' it real.

  3. I actually like it! It's the same scenario here at my house too...photo op after photo op until a moderately good pose turns up. Why is it so hard to make little children look AND smile at the camera?!

  4. Hi there, My husband works with Sheila. They were talking about how much we have in common, including the love for photography. Your blog is lovely. Just wanted to say hi.

  9. Ours turned out so very similarly. Perfectly appropriate for this stage of life, I do believe.

  11. I love your pic and am feeling less unaccomplished for now. Our 15 minute window was not my shining Mom moment. The pix are kinda cute but it was hard to get there.
