looks very tasty (and cute)-
Can I come for a visit?
YUM! Such a cheery, delightful shot! :)
Don't you love shortcake? Did you make this pretties?
Why yes, Vicki, I did make them. And why not more often! I always forget what a simple recipe it is.1 c. butter.5 c. sugarzest of 1 lemon2.5 c. flour325 for 20-25 mins!
I want to reach through the computer screen and pluck one (or two) to enjoy with tea. Lovely photo! Your visitors enjoyed a fine treat, I am sure.
You always take such nice food photos. I want to eat everything and I want to eat it off your dishes.
Those look melt-in-your-mouth delicious! By the way, I am intrigued by the tray in your photo. Is it a thrift store find?
Deann-Why yes! It was a fantastic thrift store find ($1.99!).It is actually a wood tray with the (late 50's/early 60's?) herbs shellac-ed to the surface. Super fun.You might be able to see it a bit better in this post:http://thesweetnest.blogspot.com/search?q=heloise
