Oh goodness, I do love this milk glass bowl. Maybe because it's milk glass (a personal favorite), perhaps the hob-nail motif, and it could be because it cost fifty cents at the Union Gospel thrift store.
Today the clementines call it home, but just yesterday it served up stir-fried zucchini slices. It's pretty and sweet but can still go in the dishwasher. Hmm, the dishwasher. Yes, that is another reason why I love it.
oh, yay! 50c! I love that store- I want to go back soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, btw- beautiful as usual.
Reminds me of the bowl my great-grandmother used to put blackberries in.
ReplyDeleteSigh.
Memories.

I don't have any milk glass, surprising considering my love of vintage items. If I ever, EVER!, spot such a bowl at the thrift store, I will not ignore it! I imagine that a fresh green salad looks cool and inviting housed in milk glass.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful bowl! I really want some milk glass.
